The 7 Best Firefox Extensions
Written by Josh on Saturday, August 23rd, 2008I’m a bit late on this one, but here’s the news nonetheless:
Mozilla has been running a “Extend Firefox Competition” of which the best Firefox extensions would be judged by a ‘panel of experts’. The prizes where for best new addons, pdated extensions and the best music addon.
The best new addon was:
Pencil
GUI prototyping and diagramming that everyone can use.
The Pencil Project’s unique mission is to extend Firefox 3 to an opensource tool for making diagrams and GUI prototyping that everyone can use. Pencil makes uses of the SVG support in Firefox 3 to implement all the shape rendering and scripting.
The other winners were:
Tagmarks by Felipe Tassario Gomes
The best updated addons were:
Bookmark Previews by John Marshall
And the best new music addon was:
Fire.fm by Jorge Villalobos and Jose Enrique Bolaños
