Big Plans for Extendably
Written by Josh on Thursday, September 4th, 2008Well thank you for following Extendably so far!
We’ve been going for over a month now and have enjoyed regular and steady growth. We still have a long way to go before reaching TechCrunch style dominance but I’m sure the PR reps will be emailing before we know it.
There is a lot of work which still needs to be done and hopefully over the next few weeks you’ll start to see that. You may have noticed the two buttons up the top for ‘Resources’ and a ‘Directory’, well we have big plans for those.
Our resources sections should be up within a few days. Within that we will be providing our own plugins and extensions for you to download as well as some other content such as reviews and tutorials.
The directory is a little more ambitious and is really the main object of this website. I realised that while software like Firefox and WordPress have literally thousands of extensions available, 90% of users would only use around 10% of these if that.
I wanted a directory which simply showcased the very best extensions for applications, as well as providing additional resources. We hope to deliver that in a CrunchBase style widget following each post and to create a unique online resource.
Also expect more content from this blog itself, we are aiming for more specific extension reviews and possibly even some of the always popular ‘top 10’ lists.
Subscribe, comment and send me feedback! I’d love to hear from you.
