VistaBird 0.4 – My Theme-in-Progress

Songbird is coming along nicely and 0.7 is better then ever. If it wasn’t for the hideously bad memory usage (150mb while idle) than I think there’s a fair chance it could really take off. It’ll be interesting to see what the version 1 release in December is going to be like.

One thing they’ve done extremely well is to create a number of easy to use tools for anyone to create their own extensions and themes. I’m no programmer but creating a theme is simple enough; just a bit of mucking around with CSS and images.

The new UI is great, but I was looking for something a little more appropriate for usage on Windows Vista. Here is a screenshot of my work on progress for achieving that:
